The Centre for Human Genetics and Molecular Medicine was established at the SIUT in 2008. It conducts research in the human genome with applications in the aetiology of renal diseases related to cancer genetics, transplantation and allograft survival.
Our department consists of two specialized research labs: the Centre for Human Genetics and Molecular Medicine, and the Stem Cell Research Laboratory. These labs are equipped with the latest technology and techniques to support our research efforts, including genomic sequencers, microscopes, and cell culture facilities.
