Our Satellite Centers

SIUT Lady Sir Abdullah Haroon Dialysis Centre 

The first satellite dialysis centre of SIUT was established in Shah Faisal Colony in a building given by Mrs Laila Sarfaraz in 1999. The main purpose was to provide free dialysis facilities at the doorstep of the patients living in Shah Faisal Colony, Malir and other neighbouring areas who could not afford the cost of travel to main SIUT centre for dialysis twice or thrice a weak. There are 12 dialysis machines.      

SIUT APWA Akram Khatoon Dialysis Centre, Nazimabad 

In 2012, APWA requested SIUT to use its building in Nazimabad for treating the patients. SIUT decided to open satellite dialysis centre to offer dialysis facilities to the people living in Nazimabad and neighbouring areas. The centre was established with RO Plant. Currently there are 42 dialysis machines offering around 150 patients daily dialysis services in 3-4 shifts. 

SIUT Hajiani Chatul Bai Dialysis Centre, Garden West 

In 2012 the Shaikh of Mitiari donated to SIUT a bungalow covering an area of around 7500 sq ft in Garden West to convert into a dialysis centre in the name of Hajiani Chatul Bai. SIUT started free dialysis services initially with 12 machines and installed RO plant for water treatment required for dialysis. The centre has now expanded to house 28 dialysis machines. Around 120 patients are benefited daily in 4 shifts. 

SIUT Larkana Dialysis Centre 

In 2020, SIUT established a dialysis centre on a premises given by the Government of Sindh for the people of Larkana so that they can be dialysed in their own city instead of going to Sukkur or Karachi. It also caters the patients on the dialysis living in surrounding cities. The unit has 26 machines which runs 3 shifts daily and around 70 people get dialysis treatment daily.   

SIUT Primary Health Care Centre, Kathore 

In 2012, SIUT acquired 100 acres land in Education City situated at Deh Chuhar, Gaddap District Malir, Karachi, on the link road between National Highway and Super Highway.to construct Institute of Transplant Sciences and Biotechnology. Apart from clinical services, the main purpose to construct this institute is teaching and training and research facilities on organ transplantation, biotechnology, drug therapy, stem cell, etc. The development work of Education city is going one. To start the services, SIUT established the primary healthcare centre to provide basis health facilities and screening for hypertension and diabetes for the poor people living in villages in the vicinity of Kathore who cannot afford to travel to the main city for the treatment. A team of doctors run the OPD with lab and radiology facilities. Three more centres for the screening of cancer, infectious diseases and mother and child health will start working soon in the near future. 

SIUT Muzaffarabad Dialysis Centre

In October 2008, during the great earthquake in Muzaffarabad, SIUT was among the first team to reach there and established relief camp to provide acute dialysis, surgical support and intensive care management to the earthquake-effected people. The healthcare system was badly damaged. After the relief work, SIUT established a dialysis centre in Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences and donated 12 dialysis machines to provide free dialysis to the people of Azad Kashmir. The centre is still providing free dialysis facilities with the help of Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
