The first Nutrition Internship Certificate distribution Ceremony at the Division of Cardiothoracic Sciences, SIUT, marked the successful completion of a structured training program, made possible through the support of Mrs. Atika Haji and the H.M. Habib Cardiac Endowment Fund. Dr. Shazia Mohsin highlighted the vital role of nutrition in multidisciplinary care, acknowledging the collective effort behind the initiative, while Ms. Rabia Anwar appreciated the commitment of students and preceptors in shaping one of the early structured programs in the country. Building on this, Ms. Nusrat Akber emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic institutions, professional bodies, and tertiary care centers in strengthening the future nutrition workforce. Reflecting on their journey, the interns described the experience as both enriching and transformative—offering not only clinical exposure but also opportunities for teamwork, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of evidence-informed practice. They also expressed gratitude to Dr. Babar Hasan for his continued guidance and support.
