Department of ENT & Head and Neck Surgery

The Department of ENT & Head and Neck Surgery at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) provides comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for patients with disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck.

The department manages a wide spectrum of conditions, ranging from common ENT disorders to complex head and neck diseases. Clinical services encompass the management of ear and hearing disorders, nasal and paranasal sinus diseases, voice and swallowing disorders, airway conditions, and benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck.

Specialized surgical services include endoscopic nasal and sinus surgery, airway and laryngeal procedures, salivary gland surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and comprehensive head and neck oncological surgery.

Complex head and neck cancer cases are discussed in regular multidisciplinary tumor board meetings, facilitating collaborative decision-making and individualized treatment planning in coordination with relevant specialties.

The department also provides comprehensive diagnostic services, including fiber-optic nasopharyngolaryngoscopy and direct laryngoscopy for the evaluation of upper airway, laryngeal, voice, swallowing, and head and neck disorders.
