51st Batch of Student Volunteer Program concludes

The certificate distribution ceremony of 51st batch of student volunteer program of SIUT was held at the Institute. Conducting a week long program for student volunteer is a regular feature of SIUT activities in which students hailing from various school and colleges of Karachi are imparted education and training of community service.The program is structured in such a manner that it motivates the students to acquire the spirit of compassion and sacrifice.Over the years the program has been widely hailed by society at large and education community. So far over 6 thousands students have attended the program.

Speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony eminent urologist and Director of SIUT Prof Adib Rizvi called upon the students that it was their social responsibility to address those issues which are faced by those members of society due to lack of economic resources and non availability of health care facilities.Prof Rizvi said SIUT has initiated the program with an aim in order to mitigate the suffering of the people and raise a team of young volunteers who can render community service in the years to come.

The certificate distribution ceremony was also addressed by Prof Anwar Naqvi of SIUT, representatives of students and their parents.
